I've never encountered this problem before, we will have to start
torture tests on autom4te.  I believe 2.50 and 2.52 have the same
problems, but in sh instead of Perl.

I'll apply it next time I'm at EPITA, unless someone beats me.  I
don't remember if you have a write access to Autoconf, but if you
don't, please, send me your Savannah login so that I can add you.

PS/ Was this bug triggered by something `usual', or you used it by
hand or by dedicated code?
