The change to find_slaves is needed because perl's '-x'
isn't a smart as bash's; that is, it won't find
autoconf.sh.

        * autoupdate.in: Support DOS paths.  Initialize $tmp to
        avoid warnings.  Default $autoconf to 'autoconf'.
