That's the kind of reasons why I'd like you to use them :)

I understand this very well, but Autoconf is somewhat special in the
sense that we want 2.50 as bug free as possible. If it were not
Autoconf, I would have released this product long ago, expected
feedback to release quickly a 2.51. But it is Autoconf, and
unfortunately we cannot really work like this, which means we _need_
our Autoconf-friends to move to released betas.
