gentoo still considers all gdb's after 6.0 to be unstable. Not sure why. I am generally reluctant to install "masked" (unstable) software on my system.

In any case, does it work to get a single patch? For example

  arx get-patch http://superbeast.ucsd.edu/~landry/ArX/wlandry/arx.2.1,99

address@hidden work $ arx get-patch http://superbeast.ucsd.edu/~landry/ArX/wlandry/arx.2.1,99
/bin/tar: arx.2.1,99.patches.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
/bin/tar: Child returned status 2
/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Problems with a filesystem call
boost::filesystem::rename
,,get-patch.20041205T041307/arx.2.1,99.patches
arx.2.1,99.patches
address@hidden work $

When I tried to get the entire arx 2.0 branch, I got a similar error.
