I finally succeed in compiling ardb on my debian etch laptop. I did
not sort out this PKG_CHECK_MODULES(SQLITE, sqlite), but a recent
apt-get upgarde did solve the issue.

:o)

So my next commitment will be to build a .deb of my env.

Side from that i got the following errors on first run of ardb:

19:06:00: can't create file '/home/syg/.ardb' (error 21: est un r)
19:06:00: can't commit changes to file '/home/syg/.ardb' (error 21: est un r)
19:06:00: Failed to update user configuration file.
19:06:00: can't create file '/home/syg/.ardb' (error 21: est un r)
19:06:00: can't commit changes to file '/home/syg/.ardb' (error 21: est un r)
19:06:00: Failed to update user configuration file.
19:07:00: Can't find image files in either '.' or 'vtesicons'!

my user account is /home/syg

during db initialisation (upload of vtes.zip) system also complain
about non existing .ardb *folder*

On second ardb  execution Ardb warn me again with msg:
Cant' find image files in either '.' or 'vitesicons'.

Side questions:
1. does https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=anarchdb is actualy in use?
2. where could i post my .deb archive when it will be done?
3. how could i post a patch?
