Ok. Please forgive my lack of knowledge, but what is a density tool.
BTW, what should the density tool do ?

Measurement tools are in the development queue and are planned to be
ready for version 0.3.0. It requires a quite radical rewrite of the
internal display engine (currently in progress).

I assume you mean "text" annotations ?

Rather simple to implement this. I think this could be in the next
version.
