The "-fPIC" flag was missing for compiling the DCMTK shared libs.
I fixed this in CVS.

You can check out the code from CVS or download the fixed tarball from:
http://www.bms-austria.com/~pipelka/aeskulap/aeskulap-0.1.0.tar.gz

There *might* be other AMD64 issues in the code. I'll release a fixed
version of the code as soon as we (you) managed to compile and run the
sources on AMD64.
