[Swftools-common] Issues with embedded fonts when converting PDF to SWF

Hello All,

 

We have issues with embedded fonts when converting PDF to SWF.

The command for conversion is following:

pdf2swf.exe -s linknameurl -s linkfunction -T10 -s insertstop -f -s storeallcharacters c:\temp\font_issue_sample.pdf -o c:\temp\font_issue_sample.swf

 

The conversion shows errors similar to this:

Error: Couldn't create a font for '8654E8d6bUniversLTStd47CnLt,Bold'

Error: Couldn't create a font for '8651E8ceeUniversLTStd47CnLt'

ERROR   Invalid charid 34 for font (0 characters)

ERROR   Invalid charid 35 for font (0 characters)

 

The font '8654E8d6bUniversLTStd47CnLt is NOT installed on the machine but it is embedded in the document.

Note The target SWF is created, however it is missing the text in the tables.

 

Attached you may find the font_issue_sample.pdf.

The error appears on Windows 7 64bit, by using pdf2swf from the version: SWFTools 0.9.0 or swftools-2013-04-09-1007.exe.

 

Any help how to solve this is appreciated.
