Hi Jarno,

It seems that the recent dev. Snapshot addressed this issue.

C:\Program Files\SWFTools>pdf2swf.exe -V
pdf2swf - part of swftools 2008-09-18-1940

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Fred

Subject: [Swftools-common] poly2bitmap problem

Hello,

I have a problem with pdf2swf's poly2bitmap -option: with some pdfs I
get thin white/gray lines or "boxes" around the "seams" of vector and
raster graphics when using this option.

I did an example pdf with Illustrator - I used a shadow under the star
to force that part of the background to be rasterized.

SWF with poly2bitmap option:

SWF without poly2bitmap option:
http://up.h4z.net/swftools/test.swf

PDF original:
http://up.h4z.net/swftools/test.pdf

First thing that comes to my mind, is that it could be some sort of math
related rounding problem or lack of precision (when mapping objects'
postscript coordinates to pixels, or performing anti-aliasing). It's
like pieces of a puzzle, that don't fit tightly to each other, leaving
gaps between them.

Is this a known behavior, and furthermore, could there be a way to get
around this - using a certain resolution for rasterization or something
like that?

Other than the problem described above, poly2bitmap option works fine
and does excactly what I'm looking for.

I'm using a development snapshot version 2008-09-26-2010 of swftools.

Any help regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
