Well... PDF 1.4 files usually convert ok. PDF 1.5 mostly, and
PDF 1.6 files can cause problems.
Apart from the version number I'm not aware of any things you
can do differently during creation to make a PDF work or not
work. But I'd be happy to add it to the FAQ if somebody should
write something about this.
