Hi Matthias,
here's my mencoder specs for the wmv to avi conversion:
(i just did the first 10 seconds to test for the swf conversion)
mencoder india_movie2_0003.wmv -o india3.avi -ffourcc DX50 -oac copy -ovc lavc
-ofps 30000/1001 -endpos 10
