Dear Robert,

this *is* the good place to ask for advice. Unfortunately, the Swarm maintainers (the few volunteers still around) are not able to offer systematic and puctual support.

Your best bet may be going after Steve Railsback's heroic effort, who set up a pre-digested virtual machine image based on CentOS 6; you should find his contact at the following link (updated Oct 2017):

Cheers,

-Matteo

Subject: [Swarm-support] Swarm for macOS Sierra

Hello,

I am new to ABM and wanted to use the Swarm software for a research project, and I have tried to install the gcc-4 binary package on my mac.
According to the readme, the release was written for MacOS 10.4 (Tiger). I currently have macOS 10.12.6 (Sierra) installed on my computer, and the binary seems not to install there. Is there any other version of the software package I could use or do I need to instal Swarm from source?

Thank you and best wishes
Robert
