==== Description: ====
This project aims to provide free software tools and corresponding
documentation that will help to setup and run a "Distributed OpenPGP
Timestamping Service" as a web application or background service similar to
RFC 3161, i.e., a service that creates so-called trusted timestamps on
detached OpenPGP signatures of a file in a distributed way not relying on one
central trusted party (TSA).
It will NOT use blockchain technology. As underlying signature framework the
tools will make use of the Distributed Privacy Guard which already contains
basic functions for distributed key generation and collective signing:

==== Other Software Required: ====
Distributed Privacy Guard (DKGPG), GPLv2, https://www.nongnu.org/dkgpg/
==== Other Comments: ====
There is no running code yet, because some design decisions (e.g. programming
language, security evaluation) for the web application are still pending.
However, the basic code for creating OpenPGP timestamp signatures is already
contained in the most recent release of DKGPG
(https://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/dkgpg/dkgpg-1.0.8.tar.gz).
