[Savannah-dev] Changing default favicon

hi:

I made my own icon.png and left it on the default theme image directory: 
frontend/php/images/forest.theme/

The problem is that now, no favicon is shown on my browser's url bar 
(previously I could see the wildebeest head).

I tried changing icon.png size so that it matched the previous one, but 
it had no effect.

Are there any special requirements concerning then icon.png image?
Should I change something else?
