Hi there..
I have been using rdiff-backup form quite some time now, but when i
tried to backup my data today after about a month i got some weird
errors and the backup wouldn't run..
here are those errors.. http://pastebin.com/m4328ce27
Hi Anirudh,
There was a failure when trying to read the file:
/media/disk-1/rdiff-backup-data/increments/Docs/Documents & Books/1000
Hacker Tutorials 2008/200 Hacking Tutorials/FREE Hosting For WAREZ.txt.
2008-11-09T12:48:35+05:30.snapshot.gz
How does that file look to you? Is /media/disk-1/ full by any chance?
Perhaps a filesystem check is in order.
One way to recover from this error would be copy over that file with a
replacement (since it is a .snapshot.gz).
If that file is on your main disk, for example:
/home/anirudh/Docs/Documents & Books/1000 Hacker Tutorials 2008/200
Hacking Tutorials/FREE Hosting For WAREZ.txt
Do:
$ cp /home/anirudh/Docs/Documents & Books/1000 Hacker Tutorials
2008/200 Hacking Tutorials/FREE Hosting For WAREZ.txt /tmp/foo
$ gzip /tmp/foo
$ cp /tmp/foo.gz /media/disk-1/rdiff-backup-data/increments/Docs/
