I thought I was. But I was sending them by pressing
"reply" over an old message, just to get the e-mail
address. Perhaps that was causing it?

Did you get all these patches:
Patch for snow8-grumbel.pingus
Patch for waiter.cxx
Patch for worldobjs.xml

Btw. I was just trying to svn update and got this
error (perhaps needs some fixing on server side?):

svn: Berkeley DB error while opening environment for
filesystem /svnroot/repos/pingus/db:
DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
svn: bdb: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run
