Wim,
I'm testing now some functionality of the 2.4.x kernel (capabilities) so I'm
not sure exactly what the results will be.
I don't have any practical knowledge of clustering and failover tecnologies.
However, imagine you had the ability to start/stop/restart a virtual server
hosted anywhere in the physical server plant.... and possibly the ability to
reconfigure a physical server network interface with an IP alias... Would
that suffice?
I think the vsd protocol could be enhanced with a few more commands to
support this. Comments?
