Follow-up Comment #10:

This is annoying, but I don't know what more to do.  This feature works on all
the platforms that we have tried it on.

Maybe there is something specific about Tumbleweed, or the way the packagers
at openSUSE have compiled Octave, or the specific Qt libraries used.
