                  Status:                    None => Confirmed              
         Planned Release:                    None => 10.1.0 (current default)

Follow-up Comment #1:

This is super easy to change, and I don't see a particular downside to
maintaining Matlab compatibility here.  This feature should be announced in
the NEWS file as well though because programmers may be using the defaults and
it will be changing underneath them.
