According to documentation, lsqnonlin options.FinDiffType accepts two inputs:
forward or centered. In the code, it checks for central, not centered.
Thanks.
Documentation:
'FinDiffType' "centered" or "forward" (Default) type finite
differences estimation.
Code:
elseif (strcmpi (FinDiffType, "central"))
Example:
>> fun=@(x) x^2; x0=1;
>> options=optimset('lsqnonlin'); options.FinDiffType= 'centered';
>> [x, RESNORM, RESIDUAL, exitflag] = lsqnonlin(fun,x0, [], [], options);
error: unknown value of option 'FinDiffType': centered
error: called from
lsqnonlin at line 219 column 9
>> options=optimset('lsqnonlin'); options.FinDiffType= 'central';
>> [x, RESNORM, RESIDUAL, exitflag] = lsqnonlin(fun,x0, [], [], options);
