Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #64077] parallel-4.0.1 patched installs but pkg test fails: octave-pserver command not found - macOS
Date: Fri, 21 Apr 2023 12:09:41 -0400 (EDT)

Follow-up Comment #4, bug #64077 (project octave):

Sorry, the error was coming from this bug in the statistics pkg:
https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=64011

Bottom line, the parallel-4.0.1 pkg builds and runs using the attached patched
file providing you implement the edits from:
Markus Mützel ( https://savannah.gnu.org/users/mmuetzel) for two files in
the octave include directory
https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/bc681594872a

All those bugs are known and fix exist and are published.

Thank you all for your inputs.
My parallel pkg runs as expected on:
- macOS Ventura using octave-8.2.0
- macOS Monterey using octave-7.3.0

In both case, I used the same patched pkg file:
https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=54644

pkg attached below.
