Follow-up Comment #6, bug #55143 (project octave):

Please see also bug #45864, which is related, about simply running mkoctfile
and trying to overwrite a loaded oct file. I had some initial ideas of a
solution to try, but it didn't get enough testing from users on Windows to
move it forward.
