        * luaext_guess_binary.cc: luaL_checkstring() raises an exception, so
        no point in testing its result value.  In the Lua API, arguments to
        functions start at stack index 1, so no need for negative indexes.
        * luaext_mkstemp.cc: For the use of negative indexes, see above.
        * luaext_parse_basic_io.cc: Changed lua_settable()'s to more
        appropriate calls to avoid a lot of pushing onto the stack.
