Original Submission:  since lablgtk has a gtk2 release a gtk gui that will 
allow i18n and encoding to be used will be nice to have

mailing list chatter would indicate lablgtk cvs code is already stable

The lablgtk-2.0 did not integrate some usefull features and the snapshot 
lablgtk2-20040319 was buggy. Now that those problems are fixed in the last 
release labgtk-2.4.0, the GTK2 version will come soon.
