This was done to avoid huge arrays and resizing functions.
That could be a enhancement feature ...
See comment Line 509 in newgui/gui_graph.ml
      (* we check if it is necessary to reset the pixmap. Only in 2 cases :
      when the time range is changed (x axis)
      when the max down/upload rate is changed (y axis) *)
