[Mldonkey-bugs] high memory usage

My Version
MLDonkey 2.00+2: Objective-Caml Client/Server for the eDonkey2000 Network

My System
amd athlon mp dual 1200mhz, 256 mb ddr reg ecc (will be upgraded soon), 90 gb 
hdd
debian linux kernel 2.4.19

My Problem
mldonkey needs all memory!
mldonkey is a cool tool, but after one hour my memory is full, and i have to 
kill mldonkey, because the rest of the system is unusable now
the settings are not so high, that this should be a problem
what can i do?
