grrr... setting max_hard_upload_rate and max_hard_download_rate does not really 
help, only the intervall between disconnections due to "no buffer space 
available" increases a little.

with a traffic shaper limiting mldonkey traffic it runs just fine. :)

And i can still use my internet connection for something else than the donkey, 
which was absolutely not possible before.

changing the hard_limit for upload to 5k on my 768/128 line
"fixed" it... the message stopped appearing, the link is stable
