Sorry if I explained it wrong. The situation is the following one:
I have two sip phones. One is Linphone ( call it L) the other is a custom one (call it C ). The custom one does not handle the 415 response codec. I force them to not having any compatible codec. For example Linphone uses PCMU and the custom one uses G729.
C calls L, so L sends a 415 response error because there is not matching codec available. C does not handle that response and so keeps inviting L for some time while L keeps sending the 415 error.
This is not visible for the L user (but in the logcat you can see that Linphone is doing all the transactions).Is it a good idea to not inform the L user that someone is trying to contact him? It could be better if the L user shows a ringing message first and then check if the codecs are compatible or not.
