Yes, I thought it would be libQt, Trolltech generate their own .la files without using libtool, these have -framework Carbon etc in dependency_libs. Since libtool did not generate these files, I do not really consider it a libtool bug that libtool cannot read them, that being said, it should work in libtool HEAD, and there is a patch available somewhere ... <http://ranger.befunk.com/fink/experimental/ patches/libtool-framework.patch> might be it, that might work for you.
