Actually, you can do even better than that when using libltdl. To avoid
duplication of configaux files and m4 macros between libltdl and your parent
project then in $top_srcdir/Makefile.am:
ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS = -I libltdl/m4
in $top_srcdir/configure.ac:
AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR([libltdl/config])
AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([libltdl/m4])
