Oh, and why does the constructor for the pserver connection class take a hostname but not the port number (which can be specified to be different to the default).

How does the "ext" protocol work? I have seen nothing on it. Documentation on the whole CVS client/server protocol is difficult to find and poorly written or incomplete when found.

Alastair.

Hi.

Since the password scrambling is particular to the pserver connection method, shouldn't the constructor for that class take an unscrambled password and manage the scrambling of it itself. It seems odd to put the scrambling code in any other class, frankly.

What is the intention of the CVSConnection classes? It seems a little unclear in many ways. What does the function getStreamToServer() do? How about getStreamFromServer()? I expected to see something like recv() and send() type functions.

Alastair.
