lily 1.3.135

Hello dear people,

What could have been an eventful, romantic and exciting weekend was
spent as yet another saturday-evening hacking at music
typesetting. Version 1.3.135 fixes one of the more crufty parts of
Lily: I took a stab at rewriting ly2dvi. The new version is much
shorter, much cleaner, and is immune to whatever weird TeX
constructions you enter in header fields.

The sunday was not very eventful save a few quarrels hither and
thether about the best way how to fix the trivial Pitch::transpose
bug.

There's also some tweaks for the fontgeneration and font-location
logic: all TFM fonts are created only once now. It needs the following
tweaking:

1. apply http://www.cs.uu.nl/~hanwen/public/software/mktexnam-patch to
/usr/share/texmf/web2c/mktexnam

2. prepend <lilypond-dir>/tfm/ (typically /usr/share/lilypond/tfm/ )to
the TEXFONTS environment variable. You should have write permissions
in the <lilypond-dir>.

1.3.134.jcn2
============

* Bugfix: Pitch::transpose ().

* Small doco update.

* Silly build and website-build fixes.

* convert-ly: added conversions, converted glossary, refman and
  examples.

1.3.134.hwn1
============

* Rewrote ly2dvi, moved the old one to buildscripts/. The result is
490 lines code in stead of 1230.

* Modified kpathsea lookup so it will find system-installed feta TFMs
  first. Now lily doesn't clutter the CWD with .TFM files. Kpathsea
  is fun if you like pasta.
