[zile-devel] Another beta release?

I've fixed another couple of bugs that I found recently (one dates from at
least 1.6.2) and given that I notice no new activity recently in CVS
(other than David noticing I had committed stuff that I shouldn't have;
sorry!) I wonder if we're ready for another beta release? Quite a lot has
changed since 1.7b3 (which means we may have new bugs, so we certainly
can't do a stable release yet) but also a lot of bugs have been squashed,
and other tidying up done, so I think the overall quality is much
improved.

I don't have much time, but if David and Sandro don't either I'd be happy
to do the release myself.
