If this feature existed, I guess there'd be no point in using
RCS. Might as well use other tools.
I'm curious: Do you manually edit comma-v files often? Anyway,
perhaps the feature can be designed such that it doesn't onerously
impact manual editing. For example:
rcs ci -m"Update." foo
[manual editing of foo]
rcs integrity --rehash foo
(This shows the work-in-progress "rcs(1) the dispatch command"
syntax as well as hypothetical sub-command "integrity --rehash".)
