Hi Benno (and nano help list),

Thanks for the advice and inspiration. Your question of "why 4.3" was perhaps the best part. Previously I'd stuck with nano 4.3 because of a bug, before nano 6.0 was on the scene. However, I appreciate your idea of giving the latest version a second chance -- the issue has now been resolved!

Also, don't use pictures -- describe the problem precisely in words.
And paste into your mail some of those special characters that you
can't paste into nano.

What distro are you on?  Did you compile nano yourself?  Because I
do not know of any distro that ships with nano-4.3.  Please paste
the full output for 'nano --version'.

Also, why 4.3?  Before reporting a problem, one should try the latest
version first.
