GNUnet Suitability as Site-to-Site VPN

Hello GNUnet users,

I am looking for a site-to-site VPN solution where both of the sites are behind
a CGNAT. Previously I have been using TailScale, but I want something that is
Free and decentralized. I do not have the resources to host my own
high-availability TailScale control server, so I am looking for a new tool.

In my research, I found GNUnet. My main concern is that, according to GNUnet's
documentation, it is not yet ready for production systems. Of course it is
still in beta, but is it really untrustworthy? If GNUnet goes down, it will be
very inconvenient for me, but I will not lose anything mission-critical.

I am particularly curious if GNUnet would be able to handle 100GB file
transfers between sites.

If GNUnet is unsuitable then I think I will switch to Tor or I2P, but it is of
course a hack to use those for my use-case (also they are very slow).
