Does the same apply I think you're jumping ahead of yourself because you don't seem to have a good grasp of how Lisp works (this question has nothing to do with `interactive`). Commands don't "form part" of lists. Lists contain values (and are themselves values) and commands manipulate (and return) values when they're evaluated. Maybe going through the "Introduction to Emacs Lisp" (see "Help => More Manual => Introduction to Emacs Lisp" in the menu) will be helpful. Stefan
