I successfully started an emacs server process on a Linux machine, and
can connect to it just fine from other *NIX machines.
However, I'd like to also be able to connect via emacsclient.exe on
Windows XP SP3. This is what happens when I try using the Win32
cmd.exe shell:
P:\>"C:\My Documents\emacs-23.2\bin\emacsclient.exe" -f p:\.emacs.d
\server\server -c
C:\My Documents\emacs-23.2\bin\emacsclient.exe: connected to remote
socket at 10.11.241.52
*ERROR*: Could not open file: CONOUT$
So it looks like it connected successfully, but some kind of terminal-
related issue prevented it from opening a graphical Emacs client
window...?
