No need to write:
(apply 'update-directory-autoloads '("~/elisp/lib"))
(I originally wanted to call update-directory-autoloads on a list of
directories, dynamically generated at startup.)
A simple:
(update-directory-autoloads "~/elisp/lib")
will suffice.
