EBrowse problems

Hi,

I cannot get EBrowse to work.  I'm using 21.4.1 on Gentoo, and I perform the 
following steps:

Create an ebrowse file: find . -name '*.hh' | xargs ebrowse

Open ebrowse file through Emacs

Type in part of a symbol (a Class name)

Enter command 'ebrowse-tags-complete-symbol'

I get the following message:

Invalid function: #<hash-table 'equal nil 55/65 0x8726420>

What am I doing wrong?
