Does gtags/global support a shadow source tree?
My experience with global version 4.5 is that it does not.
I could not find anything in the documentation or FAQ, but
Shigio Yamaguchi seems to be saying it should work in
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/help-global/2000-12/msg00003.html
Specifically, if I have:
/usr/local/src/dir/file
and /usr/local/root/dir/file -> ../../src/dir/file
And I run:
cd /usr/local/root
gtags
global
should global be generating tags for "file"?
When I run "global -f dir/file" it reports it is
"out of source tree". When I run "global -P"
then "file" is not listed.
