Mumi no longer renders non-ASCII characters

Hi,

Non-ASCII characters are now all rendered as question mark,
which is problematic if they make up the entirety of someone's name,
e.g. https://issues.guix.gnu.org/20255

This regression seems is rather recent IIRC, I did not track down
the exact date it happened but here's snapshot when it worked:

Funny enough there has been no new release nor commit to Mumi since:
https://git.elephly.net/software/mumi
