Even if we do that, it's possible to implement these functions on top of NSBezierPath.   I wrote a small subset of the DPS functions to do this when I ported InnerSpace to Mac OS X.   The question is what should our interface to the backend be?

up to 10.4 all those functions are still present in Cocoa, but without headers. Without headerss of course it is impossible to know if they changed signature...

I don't think there is a risk updating our interfaces? If some old application uses them it needs to be updated too (I am thinking about somegames for example) but also that in cas of a 32bit machine the change would be a no-change, right?
