Windows has interesting ideas about time zone names.
Nonetheless GNUmed now handles this slightly better - to be
released in 0.3.13 and 0.4.1 soonish. In the meantime you
can edit gnumed.conf in your home directory and set the
"client timezone" under "[backend]" to something sane.
The rest is just followup.
