You could say that it's not activated.

You can think of iptables as the "raw" firewall. ufw is an easier front-end. This shows that everything is open (firewall is disabled). I assume you have set ufw to "default deny".
Right
To enable access to shared folders you probably have to enter "sudo ufw allow 445/tcp". I've updated the ports table on the wiki.
When I activate the ufw and allowed the 445/tcp then I got a failure message. I've attached an screenshot. thanks
