Sam: Thanks for your prompt response. The version that I got to work before is the same one that I'm wrestling with now. What troubles me more is that I compiled ffmpeg with gpl and x11grab enabled.
On the CL I enter ffmpeg -f x11grab -s cif -i :0.0 /tmp/out.mpg And get this back: FFmpeg version 0.6, Copyright (c) 2000-2010 the FFmpeg developers built on Oct 17 2010 16:53:44 with gcc 4.2.4 (Ubuntu 4.2.4-1ubuntu3) configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-x11grab libavutil 50.15. 1 / 50.15. 1 libavcodec 52.72. 2 / 52.72. 2 libavformat 52.64. 2 / 52.64. 2 libavdevice 52. 2. 0 / 52. 2. 0 libswscale 0.11. 0 / 0.11. 0 Unknown input format: 'x11grab' Is the error in the command? thanks in advace for any idea.... If not, I suggest you try a version that has worked for you previously and report back to us. That will help narrow down the problem._______________________________________________ gNewSense-users mailing list address@hidden http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnewsense-users
