I see that there are choices between Epiphany and IceCat. Are there other
choices for a free computer? Which is superior? thankx.
To know which browser is right for you, you just have to try them. Here
is a quick summary of some of your options:
- IceCat: most up to date browser for gNewSense; you can use all the
Firefox add-ons with it, but some of those may be non-free
- Epiphany: best integration with GNOME, the default desktop in gNewSense
- Konqueror: best integration with KDE
- Seamonkey: a.k.a. the Mozilla Suite; with integrated e-mail client and
web page editor
- Midori: light-weight; the version in gNS is not very stable
- Dillo: light-weight; limited feature set
- Links/Lynx/Elinks: text-based browsers
