Without source code, you can't see what the software is doing, and you can't
change the behaviour of the software - so you don't have control of your
computer.

When all users have access to source code, the users can help themselves and
each other and make the software do what they want.  Without source code,
software does what the author wants.

I am proposing that this is a practical problem, not an ethical one.
Please explain the ethical dimension of this.
