It might make it easier for people to participate if the meeting was right before or right after another FLOSS event that folks could easily get their employers to pay for travel to, like FOSDEM (although its too soon) or Linuxtag (in May) or a summertime European conference that I don't know about. Unless the sponsorship money we hope to raise is intended to cover travel and lodging?
How many people are planning to come to the US for LibrePlanet in late March?

Right. Neal and me plan to host it in Düsseldorf. We are currently
looking for a local sponsor and a good venue. We estimate about 50
participants - should we plan for many more?
