Hi,

I recently had to use the '--keep-old-files' option of GNU tar and discovered
a few anomalies with this mode:

. Errors were reported for the existing files, even though this switch
is specifically used for this situation. So it is impossible to
determine when the tar operation really failed without examining
all the messages reported by the operation.

. All files from the archive were reported with the '-v' option instead
of only the files actually extracted. This is misleading because the
          existing files are not replaced.

I included a simple patch to fix both of these issues. It would be appreciated
if they were included in the tar source files.

Thanks,
